The Adventurer Fall Bucket List
If you’re the active type, the go-getter, that would rather be out in the sunshine than at home with Netflix, then this list is for you! You’ll have the opportunity to check off some fall adventure from sunrise to sunset with this list.
Hike a new hiking trail in your area
Is there a local hike that you’ve been meaning to do but have never got around to it? Take that hike this season! If you’re lacking hiking spot ideas, simply Google Search "best hikes” near your hometown and a list of scenic treks is sure to surface.
Run a 5k
Check out Active.com or Localraces.com to find your nearest 5k! The best part of running a 5k this fall is training for it! Bring on the cool fall weather, beautiful scenery, and crunching leaves as you pound the pavement. If you’re new to running, try this Couch to 5k Plan by Runner’s World.
A fall morning walk
Whether it be one or every morning, take advantage of that cool weather and get in a morning walk. Use the time to quiet yourself & think of all the things you’re grateful for or use the time to catch up on your favorite podcast or audio book.
Corn Maze
While not everyone has the World’s Largest Corn Maze in their neck of the woods chances are you will be able to find a corn maze large enough to keep you entertained. These fun mazes are often found at local farms where many other activities are offered, as well.
Make a fall trail mix
With all the activity, it’s smart to take a snack! Why not a healthy, seasonal one?! This Maple Pumpkin Fall Harvest Trail Mix has us drooling.
Go to a football game
Whether it be on the couch at a friend’s football party or on the bleacher’s at the local high school, celebrate fall with one of the country’s greatest pastimes.
Pick a pumpkin at a pumpkin patch
Is there anything more quintessential? Find a pumpkin patch at a nearby church, which often sell pumpkins as a fundraiser for local charities, or make the trek to a local farm’s fall fest.
Have a bonfire
Invite a group of friends over and have a bonfire if you have the space or simply pull out the fire pit. We won’t judge if you decide to bust out the S’mores, too!
Go camping
Fall is the perfect season to go camping. We wait for fall camping trips all summer long! Find a beautiful National Park or camping spot near you & soak in the season.
Try axe throwing
This unique activity is trending and chances are you’ll be able to get your Paul Bunyan-activity-fix in in any larger cities near you.
Lay under the stars
While camping certainly checks this one off the list if you have a clear night, we’re thinking more like blanket and picnic under the stars for a date night idea. Take extra blankets to keep warm and some hot chocolate or cider to warm your belly as the night cools.
Collect pinecones
Do this on your hike or use this task as it’s own adventure excuse. Take a bag and collect pinecones big and small. Use them as winter decor for your table by filling a wide vase or bowl with your finds.
Take in a fall sunset
Grab a friend and a glass of wine one evening to take in the colorful hues of a fall sunset.
